Glittery Snowflakes

This is a simple, but fun project that we did on the spur of the moment. Landon’s idea was the glitter. Honestly I hate glitter. I mean I love how it’s sparkly and makes things pretty – but it is so messy. We do everything we can to keep the mess down by doing it in a box lid and shaking it out in the trash, but still somehow 6 days later I’m still finding glitter around the house.

Snowflakes

White paper cut into squares (use different sizes)
Scissors
Glitter (if you’re brave!)

Fold your paper corner to corner to make a triangle. Fold that triangle in half to make a smaller triangle. Repeat one more time. You should be left with a triangle that looks like an ice cream cone. With your scissors, round the top of the “ice cream cone” to make an arch. Then cut small, random chunks out of the sides of the folded paper – keeping it folded the entire time. Once done, unfold and paint with glue and sprinkle with glitter (if you’re brave enough!)
