Fizzy Sidewalk Paint

Yesterday was a high of 105. So anything we were going to do outside HAD to be done before like 6am, since it was already 85 degrees by then. We didn’t make it out by 6, but pretty early in the morning. Quite a while ago {before blogging days} I had made some sidewalk paint for Landon, and he had some great fun with that. It’s a good twist on sidewalk chalk if you happen to be in a side walk chalk rut. Then I had the thought of ramping up even the sidewalk paint… make it fizzy!

Fizzy Sidewalk Paint

1/4 cup cornstarch
1/2 cup baking soda
about 6-7 Tablespoons of water
Few drops of food coloring
Squirt bottle filled with vinegar

Mix the cornstarch, baking soda, water and food coloring together. Take it outside and using a sponge-type paint brush paint away!

I painted his name then played a game of “squirt the letter”.

When you’re all done you can just leave it… or hose it off or wait until the next rain!
